God is a God of power and grace!
If... we allow Him to use us

Then... He will reply to our efforts with pure power from heaven!

That is exactly what we experienced during the Great Crusade in Kaduna, – pure power from heaven!

A crusade in Kaduna, a city in northern Nigeria, seemed impossible. The city has a history of violent riots between Muslims and Christians. Therefore, permission from the Governor could not be taken for granted. The host of the crusade Rev. Yinka Yusuf, along with all the cooperating churches and pastors worked tirelessly to make the event a success not only for Kaduna, but for all of Nigeria. The local pastors were not paid for their co-operation, but on their own initiative they were involved with all of their heart. To them, the Great Crusade was a historical event. As an expression of his gratitude, the organizers and Evangelist Andreas Huebner were invited as guests of honor to a personal reception by the Governor.

More Than 300,000 People!

On Wednesday, the day before the official start of the crusade, thousands of people had already arrived at the crusade grounds. Due to the multitudes which gathered at the "Maichibi School Fields"; it was determined to begin the crusade that same evening – one day earlier than planned. Day by day, the numbers increased and by the fifth night more than 300,000 people had attended the crusade. On Saturday night alone there were more than 100,000 people gathered; the sight of which called to mind the picture of a ripe wheatfield – among them tens of thousands of Muslims whose hearts were touched by the love of Jesus. Night after night we experienced God's grace and power in action!

Signs and wonders happen every time that the Word of God is preached in the power of the Holy Spirit. God's blessing does not know any boundaries and is without limitation. During the "Great Crusade Kaduna" there were hundreds of miracles, healings and deliverances occurring nightly; deaf ears and blind eyes were opened, crippled limbs were restored, pain and paralyses vanished by the power of God and in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Great Harvest In Kaduna!

Wonder beyond wonders, the greatest of them all is still the wonder of salvation! When Evangelist Andreas Huebner preaches the Gospel, he does so in faith and confidence that God's Word will reach every single heart and change it forever. Even when he speaks to thousands of people, it is the Spirit of God that makes the sermon "personal" for each individual. Of course many believers attend a crusade to hear God's Word and receive something from Him. But in Kaduna, there were many people there who were not yet saved. On Saturday night, the 26th of February, more than 40,000 people received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The numbers aren't to be glorified, but because each soul was ripped out of the dirty hands of the devil and placed into the loving arms of Jesus, our joy over this rich harvest is colossal.

When we go to Africa to evangelize, we do so in close co-operation with the local churches. In Kaduna, the co-operation was astounding. The ongoing commitment from the local churches to care for their new brothers and sisters in Christ is without measure. Such a blessed follow-up to a crusade can never be ensured, but the personal engagement of the pastors and by the churches of this city will have a lasting impact indeed.

Nigeria Is Different

The crusade generated interest outside of Kaduna as well. Numerous newspaper reporters and television broadcast teams were on location to give their reports and on Saturday night, parts of the Great Crusade were broadcast on Nigerian national television. Brother Huebner gave an exclusive interview to the Christian magazine "Christendom International News", which is well-respected in Nigeria. During the interview, he was asked for personal message to the President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, and for spiritual advice concerning the nation's difficult situation. This demonstrates just how different the whole situation in Nigeria is from ours. In Nigeria, faith is considered higher than politics and a man of God enjoys no less reputation than a representative of the secular powers. How blessed are the conditions to sow and reap the precious truths of Jesus Christ! I can only hope one day that will we have that in America too?

Dear friends,

It seems that a special time of harvest has begun in Nigeria. Kaduna was the second city in Nigeria to host a crusade within the past four months. The atmosphere can best be described as what many believers in America would call a "revival". The effect of the great crusades on the people there is remarkable and I'm going to keep Nigeria in my sight. – May I ask you dear partner, for your special prayer support for our next crusades? Together we will continue to experience many great and wonderful breakthroughs – not only in Africa, but also in America, in your city, in your church!
