I arrived home from Nigeria, from a truly blessed crusade, just a few days ago. Thousands of people came to the meetings at the Old Parade Grounds in Abuja and experienced God's Word in action. Many people got saved – many, many got healed. This crusade bears God's mark! He glorified the name of Jesus Christ! Even if my sermons were as dynamic as possible – the power to confirm the Gospel is God's alone!

It was an indescribable privilege to me to be allowed to minister to the people of Abuja and to see how crowds of people were transferred from darkness into the light of the cross! The crusade generated tremendous public interest as well. I was literally besieged by reporters. The national television of Abuja (NTA) reported about the meetings in detail. I was also allowed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior during a television interview. The broadcast interview was repeated several times, so the Word of God reached millions of people at home by their TV screens!

The biggest churches were in charge of the crusade – led by my dear friend and fellow minister, evangelist Yinka Yusuf. It was really an example for how God gives His blessing if churches act in unity to haul in the nets. When Jesus gave an overwhelming catch of fish to the fisherman Peter, the latter signaled to his companions who were in another ship to come and help him (as reported in Luke). It was just exactly the same during the crusade: The harvest was so great that it could only be brought in together – it required the co-operation of numerous churches.

There was also the willingness of every helper. Everyone did his job – whatever it was – full of joy, and you could sense that they all had one thing in their hearts; that other people also be saved and blessed, and that the name of Jesus Christ be glorified.

And the crusade started further things moving. We shall and will go on to Nigeria! Enthusiastic about the success in Abuja churches from Kaduna have come together to organize an even bigger crusade there, which shall be held in February 2005. Kaduna is a Muslim stronghold in the north of Nigeria, often described as 'powder keg'. We expect a mighty visitation of the Power of God. In Pakistan we already experienced again and again how God can give peace and bring about the most marvelous breakthroughs in the middle of a "powder keg". We will entrust ourselves totally to God's guidance and believe that this will be done in Kaduna, too.
