Great Expectations – Halls Too Small

During the six days of his trip to Indonesia, Evangelist Andreas Huebner preached the Gospel in four different cities on the Island of North-Sumatra. Originally it was planned to conduct a series of meetings in only one city, but very soon it became obvious that the local sports arena with its estimated 4,000 seats was far too small for the vast crowd of people that were coming to hear the Word of God and to receive a miracle from God. Because of this, miracle rallies were also held in other cities in the area and only those people living in the particular city where the crusade took place were invited.

On the Friday night the sports arena of "Pematangsiantar", a town located about 80 miles from Medan, capital to North-Sumatra, was already packed with people to the extent that it was hard to breathe. Despite the great heat and humidity, not one person left the hall before the four hour meeting officially closed. In fact, quite the opposite was true: Many of the people – for whom Brother Huebner's kind of preaching was totally new – remained in the hall and continued to sing and praise the Lord. On the second night the auditorium was totally packed. Obviously, Brother Huebner's message from the first night had wide repercussions. Here they were sitting – on chairs, on the floor – many of them even had to stand, all of them crowded together: Thousands upon thousands of people – Muslims and Christians alike – among them many crippled, helpless and sick men and women, boys and girls. And the anointing of the Holy Spirit fell from heaven and healed them.

A Waterfall Of Miracles

His voice rang out over the crowd, "As soon as I pray for you, God's power will touch you and heal you. When this happens, simply do what you could not do before. If you were blind, start seeing through those healed eyes. If you couldn't walk, get out of your wheelchair and start walking! Jesus is here to heal you!" These were the last words the Evangelist uttered before the anointing of the Spirit of God reached boiling-point. Suddenly everywhere the people started running, jumping, moving. Everywhere you could hear shouts of joy. Healing and deliverance everywhere.

It was an overwhelming sight. When God commands His blessing, rivers of healing become cascading waterfalls. Such a waterfall of signs and miracles was poured out that night over the visitors to the crusade.

Here are some of the many healing testimonies. – May they encourage you to expect great things from God:

• A lady who was totally deaf in her left ear could suddenly hear again. When the Evangelist whispered into her left ear, she repeated every word without hesitation.
  
  
• A dumb man suddenly began to speak and to give glory to the Lord for his healing. His relatives were "speechless" with joy. The man himself was totally overwhelmed.
  
  
• A woman, who – as a result of an accident – was paralyzed in her legs, demonstrated fullness joy at her ability to walk again.
  
  
• Another lady who was unable to walk from birth started running together with Brother Huebner on the platform. She was so excited that she did not want to stop running.
  
  
• A mother came with tears of joy to the front. She held her formerly blind baby in her arms. During the healing prayer the baby suddenly reached out for things that were placed near to his eyes. As the Evangelist came near to the baby with a yellow peace of paper, the baby immediately grabbed for it and snatched it out of his hand! The baby is totally healed!

A Celebration In Heaven

The New Testament teaches us that miracles play an important role in reaching people with the Gospel. For instance, in the sixth chapter of John it says that a great multitude followed Jesus Christ because of the miracles that He performed on the sick. – And so it was in Indonesia. Overwhelmed by the grace of God, a great number of different religious backgrounds have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. According to the Word of God, the angels in heaven rejoice when only one sinner repents and receives Christ. Our crusade in Indonesia was surely reason for a great celebration in heaven!

17,000 Have Heard The Gospel

During the miracle rallies in Pematangsiantar, Tarutung, Medan and Lubukpakan a vast number of people were delivered from the hands of the devil and translated into the kingdom of God. They have all received salvation and peace in Jesus Christ. In total, Evangelist Andreas Huebner had the privilege of preaching the Gospel to more than 17,000 Indonesians. – This is not the work of a man, but the work of God. It's time for revival! In Medan alone, the biggest city of North-Sumatra, Brother Huebner was witnessing the local pastors baptizing almost 600 people in water in the open-air swimming stadium.
