A tremendous crowd of people gathers night after night on the gigantic campaign ground outside the district of Medina Town in Faisalabad. Among them are many adherents of other religions, hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and experiencing Him making the impossible possible!

Pakistan is open for Jesus Christ! – These words rang in my heart during the last days of our great campaign in the city of Faisalabad. The open-air meetings on the huge site far outside the residential area of Medina Town were extraordinarily blessed – and quite unusual. While we were meeting, the regional Pakistani television network broadcasted video recordings of our great 2005 campaign. What a tremendous breakthrough! Six years ago when I did a campaign in Pakistan for the first time, such a broadcast would have been totally unthinkable. Not only did they televise our previous meeting during this year's campaign, but in just a few weeks the TV recordings of this year's great campaign will be broadcast. The effectiveness of this additional kind of outreach is already being revealed. In our recent meetings people testified how they had received healing through the television program. One example was a little boy whose injured hand was healed as he watched the 2005 campaign from home. His testimony will now affect others watching from home and encourage them to receive healing and, even more important, salvation in Christ!

Changes Everywhere

I was allowed to see changes everywhere – fruit of our five great campaigns in this town since the year 2000. I found born again Christians on the staff of the hotel I stay in every year, among the public employees of the local airport, and in many other places – even those where I had never expected it. Even on my departure, an officer introduced me to a number of public employees of the local airport. Again and again, I was asked to bless people in personal prayer. It was not unusual to pray for our brothers' and sisters' requests in public. What a change, and what a blessing! In a country where there is still persecution and discrimination against Christians, where a number of Christians are sitting in jail, condemned to death, I – together with cameraman and fellow traveller Brother Jonathan – was allowed to experience God's peace and great joy in the Holy Ghost. I thank the Lord for the wide open door of opportunity to preach the Word of God in Pakistan.

Thousands And Thousands Of Conversions

My message this year was no different than in former years: "Jesus Christ hates sin and loves the sinner so much that He died on the cross for him!" Especially on Saturday, September 16th, this message rang out more boldly and vividly than ever before. The result: thousands and thousands of conversions, and just as many people receiving the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Again and again, we saw even ministers of God who, being overwhelmed by the clear message of the Gospel, dared to take a new step with Jesus Christ. They received the assurance and security of their salvation and a fresh anointing in their ministry.

"Life and death are in the power of the tongue!" During the sermon the Word released great faith in the hearts of the listeners.

The Word of God affects the hearts of the people.

Under The Protection Of The Blood

When we hold an open-air meeting of this size in Pakistan, we are accompanied by numerous heavily armed marksmen and bodyguards. Altogether we had more than thirty armed and a whole army of unarmed security forces and policemen. But we did not lose sight of our real Protector. What could so few men do in such a crowd? We praise God for taking care of us. It is the blood of Jesus and the confession of the Word that protect us from every danger.

The mayor of Faisalabad was the special guest of honor on September 15th. He asks Evangelist Andreas Huebner to bless him personally.

These predominantly young people sit in the front rows and listen to the message with great joy in their hearts.

Each Miracle Certainly Was Worth The Whole Trip!

On Sunday there were so many wonders – particularly many healings of people who had suffered various diseases and handicaps from birth. Some were healed of paralysis ... God did creative wonders with joints and limbs ... people were delivered from fever and consequences of polio and all kinds of other diseases. So many were healed that we did not have the time to hear all their healing testimonies. Although each miracle made the trip and challenges worthwhile, there are always certain testimonies that affect the campaign audience, and me personally, in a very special way. One example during this campaign was a man who traveled a great distance to bring his best friend, who could not walk. God healed his friend, and both of them wept tears of joy. And then there was the girl who had been deaf-mute from birth and was healed in one moment, suddenly able to hear and speak. When I spoke the name of Jesus (Pakistani: "Jessu") into her ear, she concentrated, trying with all her might to imitate the sounds. Suddenly ... "Jessu" rang out from her mouth. What an extraordinary miracle! What an extraordinary God we serve!

An Unusual Campaign

Another unusual thing in this year's great campaign in Faisalabad was the appearance of the town's mayor, who asked me to bless him in prayer publicly in front of all the assembled people. I am often asked why we experience such favor with God and men in places where many would say that to even hold such an evangelistic event would be impossible. God is the answer. I have an unshakeable faith in my heart in God as a good, blessing and loving God. I confess with my lips that I am successful in everything I do, trusting in God to give me favor. Everywhere in Pakistan I was treated with great openness and respect. Although we have a free country here in America, I have not experienced half as much openness here as in Pakistan. People came to the campaign with greatest expectations of what God was going to do – and they were not disappointed.

Jonathan George, who documented the great campaign by video, described his impressions of this unusual great campaign with the following words: "The campaign was a very special time for me (for whom not?), a time which gave me again an impression of the perfect work of Jesus as people receive the gift of redemption, and experience healing, deliverance and salvation. Faith has been preached, and the people were invited to use their faith and to take their healing. It was also impressing to me (after different experiences in this part of the world) to see the people's liveliness in the worship and the openness of those I had directly to do with."

– At this point, I thank all my partners who have sown into the good and fruitful ground of this great campaign. The Word of God promises great reward to the giver. In Pakistan your seed has sprung up and is bearing eternal fruit!
